netElastic Joins Forces with Calix, Extending Broadband Access Solutions to Service Providers Worldwide on the Broadband Industry’s Only End-to-End Platform

Calix Broadband Platform and netElastic’s virtual routing solutions enable service providers to simplify their broadband networks and lower TCO

SANTA CLARA, Calif., October 1, 2024 — netElastic, a leading provider of virtual routing solutions, has teamed up with Calix to deliver Carrier-Grade Network Address Translation (CGNAT) and virtual routing solutions to broadband service providers (BSPs). This partnership enhances and expands the capabilities of the Calix Broadband Platform, providing additional options to simplify IP address management, optimize network performance, and reduce the network’s total cost of ownership.

BSPs may face significant challenges as they expand their subscriber base and scale their networks. These challenges include IPv4 address depletion and transitioning to IP dual-stack operations. Transitioning from a traditional access network infrastructure can further exacerbate these obstacles.

The partnership between netElastic and Calix aims to address these challenges by offering innovative joint solutions that conserve IPv4 address space, eliminate operational inefficiencies, support the transition to IPv6, and deliver exceptional subscriber experiences.

“Calix seeks out partners who extend the capabilities of the Calix Platform with innovative solutions to help BSPs simplify and scale their networks,” said Stephen Eyre, Vice President of the Calix Partner Community. “netElastic’s unique virtual routing solutions enhance critical IP networking functions and work seamlessly with Calix products, allowing for highly efficient and cost-effective service deployment. With netElastic, Calix will further enhance how our joint customers deliver incredible broadband experiences to their communities.”

“Working with the Calix Advanced Engineering team, netElastic can deliver seamless interoperability, giving BSPs the confidence that their systems will work flawlessly without compatibility issues,” said Tom Mitchell of netElastic. “BSPs will now have access to the most comprehensive broadband platform in the industry.”

In addition to CGNAT capabilities, netElastic offers full routing table peering, transit routing supporting millions of routes, and a virtual Broadband Network Gateway (vBNG).
